In May 2010, we conducted a survey in our local community to find out how much was known about the Centre and what the Centre should provide for our community in the future.
The Centre will shortly undergo Asset Transfer which will mean that it will no longer be run by Wirral Borough Council and will have to be self-financing. The survey was conducted because it is more important than ever that the Centre provides for the actual needs of the community.
We received 406 returns, of which 114 were submitted on-line and 366 used the paper survey forms.
One of the outstanding findings for us was how highly our users rated the friendliness and helpfulness of our staff. Another finding was that a surprisingly large number of local people were not aware of our existence or had little idea of our facilities.
After we have fully considered the results we will tailor our business strategy so that it better reflects the needs and ideas expressed in the survey returns.
